The eligibility requirements:
2nd to 5th-year Undergraduate students in Architecture, Urban planning, Construction, and Design from HCM universities will only be considered eligible when:
- You have provided a copy of grade point average of above 7.5 documents.
- You are taken into account the disadvantaged candidate (e.g. physical or mental disability, and lack of socio - economic support, etc.).
- You have a strong spirit of moving forward, creative thinking, and awareness of academic responsibilities.
Financial Need Assessment:
- High Distinction Scholarship: 22 million VND per year.
- Distinction Scholarship: 16 million VND per year.
- Companion Scholarship: 12 million VND per year.
How many steps are in the scholarship process?
- Step 1: Scholarship shortlisting.
- Step 2: Screening interview.
- Step 3: Scholarship essay assessment.
What documents are needed for scholarship applications?
- You have an Application Form (e.g. personal information, academic performance, financial statements, and family background). A scholarship essay requires you to showcase your strengths and personality, and how the scholarship would play a part in your long-term goals as a scholarship recipient of the HTP Foundation.
- Photographing/videoing you and using any image of you in relation to the scholarship.
- The copy of your Citizen Identification Card.
- Your notarized copy of academic transcripts, acceptance letter, and university entrance exam score from Vietnam high school.
- Proofread your scholarships, academic awards, community service, or volunteering (if any).
- Proof of background statements (e.g. low personal income, or loans if any).
Academic performance classification (10-point scale)

Freshmans:
Your completed academic transcripts from the last three years of high school are assigned a 30% weight of points (including cumulative GPA of Years 10, 11, and 12), and the remaining 70% are distributed if the university admission evidence is accepted. -
Sophomores/ Third-year students/Fourth-year students:
You have provided the GPA in academic transcripts (earning a maximum of 5.0), and assigned 50% weight by your assignment GPA in the previous school year.
Professional assessment (30-point scale)

Professional knowledge (5 points):
Assess students' understanding of basic concepts, theories, and principles in a specific profession. -
Design thinking and practical skills (10 points):
Assess students' ability to solve problems, think creatively, and develop ideas (through a project or a hypothetical situation);
Assess design skills, and ability to use design tools and software. -
Awareness of the work environment (10 points):
Assess students' level of understanding of career trends, and labor market needs;
Assess students' knowledge of regulations, and ethical standards or attitudes towards the profession. -
Soft skills and practical application capability (5 points):
Assess presentation and idea defense skills;
Assess practical experiences of using learned knowledge, and skills in real-world situations, emphasizing the transferability of academic concepts to practical scenarios.

Personal circumstances (10 points)
Evaluate each individual who has an extremely disadvantaged, and disadvantaged background. -
Personal efforts (10 points)
Based on their academic performance and personal efforts , the score will be assigned to a maximum score of 10. -
Self - improvement (10 points)
The Examiners will evaluate the students' orientation and self-development thinking through their academic performance and future plan, and convert them into a maximum score of 10. -
Community involvement (10 points)
The Personal Quality Council will evaluate the students' community engagement by their voluntary work, and convert them into a maximum score of 10.
Scholarship Essay (20-point scale)
- Students are required to write a scholarship essay in 24 hours (1-2 pages of A4 paper). The essay is assigned a maximum of 20 points, assessing personal viewpoint and thinking.
- Form (5 points): The scholarship essay meets the length requirement, reasonable layout, clear and aesthetic text format.
- Viewpoint (5 points): The scholarship essay states the main viewpoint, which is attached with specific evidence.
- Personal connection (5 points): The scholarship essay shows specific goals/ plans/ actions related to the student's practical experiences at the HTP Foundation.
- Examiner’s comment (5 points): The overall assessment of the quality of the essay, revealing the level of impression of the essay.
